1. Controller

2. Scope

This policy applies to the StockForge - Location Stock marketing website and to the extent we process data to provide the Shopify app and related support.

3. Personal data we process

3.1. On this website

  • Technical data (logs): IP address, device/browser identifiers, date and time, requested pages and security events. We process this to operate the site, prevent abuse, and keep it secure.
  • Contact: this site does not include an in-site form; contact is done via email (a mailto: link). If you email us, we will process the personal data you include in your message.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising pixels on this website by default (if you add any in the future, we will update this policy and the cookie policy accordingly).

3.2. In the Shopify app

To provide the service, the app may process store and configuration data within Shopify, such as:

  • Store identifiers: myshopify domain, store ID, installation status.
  • Operational data: locations and inventory availability by location, plus display preferences (for example, whether to show exact quantities or only stock status).
  • Merchant-provided content: labels/text and, if you choose to show them in the theme block, location details you decide to publish (opening hours, map links).
  • Support: information you provide when requesting support (screenshots, issue descriptions, etc.).

We do not request or need payment card details: billing (if applicable) is handled through Shopify.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Provide and operate the service (including app configuration and theme block operation): performance of a contract / provision of services.
  • Customer support: performance of a contract and legitimate interests.
  • Security, fraud and abuse prevention: legitimate interests (and, when applicable, compliance with legal obligations).
  • Compliance: legal obligations.

5. Retention

  • App data: for as long as you keep the app installed and thereafter as needed to handle incidents, legal obligations and potential claims.
  • Support communications: as long as needed to address the request and, where appropriate, for traceability and claim defense.
  • Website logs: for the period strictly necessary for security and diagnostics.

6. Processors and international transfers

We may rely on service providers (processors) such as Shopify (infrastructure and APIs), the website hosting provider, and email/support tooling. These providers process data under our instructions and under contractual arrangements.

Some providers may be located outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms).

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction, and portability) by emailing support@locationstockapp.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your competent supervisory authority.

8. Changes to this policy
